This Galveston wedding was intimate, with no bridal party, but still included all the meaningful moments of a traditional celebration. The ceremony was held outdoors, with a five-piece mariachi band performing in the garden next to the ceremony site.
Afterward, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres outside while the bride and groom took golden hour portraits around the museum’s beautiful gardens. Their grand entrance led straight into the first dance beneath the glass ceiling of The Bryan Museum Conservatory, as the setting sun lit the dance floor. The night continued with heartfelt toasts, cake cutting, and dancing—ending with a romantic horse and carriage send-off through the streets of downtown Galveston.

Wedding Photography at Garten Verein in Galveston, Texas. Garten Verein offers a unique blend of history and charm, making it one of the most picturesque wedding photography locations in Galveston. Originally built in the 1800s by a group of affluent German businessmen as a private social club—once known as the “garden club”—the venue’s tiered dancing pavilion is the only structure of its kind to survive the devastating 1900 storm. Today, the beautifully restored pavilion stands at the south end of Kempner Park, serving as a simple yet elegant Galveston wedding venue.
This particular wedding ceremony was held outdoors at the north end of Kempner Park, beside the fountain and under the shade of mature oak trees along winding garden paths. Wedding at The Bryan Museum in Galveston, Texas. The Bryan Museum in Galveston is truly one of the most elegant and timeless wedding venues in Texas. As a photographer who has documented weddings across multiple states and countries, I can confidently say that The Bryan Museum remains one of my absolute favorites.
Whether it’s the rich history of the building—a Gothic Revival masterpiece built in 1894, destroyed by the 1900 storm, and later restored as an orphanage—or the manicured grounds that feel like something out of a romantic garden, there’s something uniquely magical about this venue. Every time I photograph a wedding here, I know the images will be stunning.
The wedding of Eryn and Sam was no exception. Held during the challenging year of 2020, this intimate Jewish wedding was thoughtfully planned with guest safety in mind while preserving every meaningful moment. The venue’s staff did an outstanding job creating an atmosphere of elegance and care, ensuring social distancing without compromising the beauty, emotion, or experience of the day. It was a celebration full of warmth, love, and unforgettable memories—captured against one of Galveston’s most historic and picturesque backdrops.

A Wedding at The Lasker Inn in Galveston, Texas. The Lasker Inn is one of the most sought-after wedding venues on Galveston Island, known for its charm, elegance, and historic character. Like many couples in 2020, Alex and Alyssa’s original wedding plans were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. What was once intended to be a celebration with over one hundred guests became a smaller, more intimate ceremony shared only with immediate family—and me, behind the camera.
Despite the change in size, I photographed this wedding with the same care and attention to detail as I would for a full-day event with hundreds of guests. From quiet, emotional moments to carefully planned details, the day was filled with love, joy, and meaningful memories. Alex and Alyssa plan to celebrate with all their friends and extended family in the future—hopefully in 2021, and hopefully without masks—but this day at The Lasker Inn will always stand out for its intimacy, resilience, and beauty.

A Destination Wedding at Sandos Finisterra in Cabo San Lucas. I absolutely love destination weddings—especially when they take me to breathtaking places like the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula in Baja California Sur, Mexico. This unforgettable wedding took place at Sandos Finisterra, a five-star resort carved into the cliffs overlooking the turquoise waters of El Arco de Cabo San Lucas.
We arrived a few days early to explore and photograph the stunning coastal and inland scenery of Mexico. The wedding itself was an all-day celebration, with moments unfolding throughout the resort. The ceremony was held atop the cliffs, offering panoramic views of the marina and the vast inland landscape. Afterward, we descended the stone-carved steps to the beach, where crashing waves and dramatic rock formations created the perfect setting for golden hour portraits.
Sunset brought a soft, salty haze that filled every frame with atmosphere. We photographed the bride and groom until the light disappeared from the Mexican sky, with the entire beach to ourselves. That was the case with Bill and Erika, who decided to skip the traditional ceremony and celebrate their love in a quiet, intimate way.
They chose to elope at The Lasker Inn in Galveston, Texas, a charming and historic venue just two blocks from the beach. I had the honor of being both their wedding photographer and their guest. word of mouth
“We love working with Ryan!! He did an amazing job for our engagement photo shoot. Both me and my fiance are not very good at posing and sometimes quite shy in front of camera. Ryan was very professional and patient. We received over 400 edited photos (!!) in about 2 weeks and they are so great!! We highly recommend him!”
