Elopement Wedding at The Lasker Inn

An Intimate Elopement at The Lasker Inn in Galveston, Texas. Sometimes being a wedding photographer means also being a guest—especially when a couple chooses to elope in secret, just the two of them. That was the case with Bill and Erika, who decided to skip the traditional ceremony and celebrate their love in a quiet, intimate way.

They chose to elope at The Lasker Inn in Galveston, Texas, a charming and historic venue just two blocks from the beach. I had the honor of being both their wedding photographer and their guest. The ceremony took place in the grand ballroom, with only the couple, myself, and the officiant from The Lasker Inn in attendance. After a heartfelt exchange of vows, we shared a toast and a slice of cake to mark the occasion.

We followed the ceremony with a relaxed portrait session around the property, capturing the romance and simplicity of the day. As the sun began to set, we made our way to the rooftop for a few final photos overlooking Galveston. The next morning, we met again at sunrise for a quiet beachside session near the waves—completing a wedding weekend that was as meaningful as it was beautifully understated.
