galveston photographer at Sealy Hutchings Mansion

this was my first wedding as a galveston photographer in texas

Wedding Photography at the Historic Sealy Hutchings Mansion in Galveston, Texas. This wedding at the Sealy Hutchings Mansion was especially memorable—it marked my very first wedding after relocating from Hawaii to Texas. Set in the heart of Galveston’s historic district, this intimate and relaxed celebration was full of charm, ease, and understated elegance. The simplicity of the day created a calm and flexible schedule, allowing for intentional moments and beautiful wedding photography throughout.

As a new Houston wedding photographer at the time, I was thankful for the opportunity to capture so many special moments—from the bride’s quiet getting ready shots to a touching first look with her father. The ceremony took place outdoors beneath century-old oak trees, followed by a peaceful walk through the surrounding historic neighborhood. We ended the day with a sunset portrait session along the beach, where the soft light and sea breeze made for perfect images. I love being a Galveston photographer, and weddings like this one remind me why.
