Wedding Photography in Galveston is beautiful and historic at Garten Verein. The building that is now popular as a Galveston wedding venue was one of many built in the 1800’s by a group of wealthy German businessmen as a social club for friends and family. Formerly called the “garden club”, Garten Verein’s tiered dancing pavilion is the only structure that survived the 1900 storm. Now, it stands refurbished as a simple, but elegant wedding venue at the south end of Kempner Park.

This wedding was held outdoors in Kempner Park at its north end next to the beautiful fountain and amidst the garden of meandering trails and overhanging oak trees. Wedding photography portraits are perfect in Garten Verein’s garden, especially at sunset when the sunlight breaks through its trees.
