The natural beauty of the grounds paired with the luxury of the indoor reception space created a seamless blend of rustic charm and refined elegance—making it a truly unforgettable setting for wedding photography.

A Wedding at The Lasker Inn in Galveston, Texas. The Lasker Inn is one of the most sought-after wedding venues on Galveston Island, known for its charm, elegance, and historic character. Like many couples in 2020, Alex and Alyssa’s original wedding plans were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. What was once intended to be a celebration with over one hundred guests became a smaller, more intimate ceremony shared only with immediate family—and me, behind the camera.
Despite the change in size, I photographed this wedding with the same care and attention to detail as I would for a full-day event with hundreds of guests. From quiet, emotional moments to carefully planned details, the day was filled with love, joy, and meaningful memories. Alex and Alyssa plan to celebrate with all their friends and extended family in the future—hopefully in 2021, and hopefully without masks—but this day at The Lasker Inn will always stand out for its intimacy, resilience, and beauty.

As a photographer, I’ve had the privilege of capturing more weddings here than I can count, and each experience is as rewarding as the last. The venue’s timeless beauty and rich history make every wedding feel uniquely special—and the photo opportunities are endless. From golden hour portraits in the garden to candid moments on the museum grounds, The Bryan Museum never fails to deliver extraordinary images.
